Code of Conduct

As a member of the Spectral Freelancers Union, you represent a legacy built on independence, integrity, and the shared pursuit of greatness in the ‘verse. The following code sets the standard for all pilots and personnel under the Union banner.

1. Respect the Crew

  • Treat all members, allies, and citizens of the ‘verse with respect and dignity.

  • Discrimination, harassment, or toxic behavior — in any form — will not be tolerated.

  • We’re a diverse crew from across the stars. Fly with honor.

2. Represent the Union Professionally

  • Whether you’re in the cockpit, on comms, or in an org tag — remember: you are the Union.

  • In public servers, Spectrum posts, or other community spaces, represent our values of maturity, level-headedness, and skill.

  • Drama stays out of ops and off the flight deck.

3. Teamwork is Survival

  • We fly together. Watch each other’s six. Support your squadmates.

  • Follow chain-of-command during official ops and events.

  • Self-reliance is valuable — but reckless lone-wolf behavior that endangers others is not.

4. Keep Comms Clear

  • Use proper comm etiquette during missions.

  • Respect voice channels and PTT protocols during ops.

  • Out-of-character (OOC) chatter should be mindful and not disrupt RP or mission flow.

5. No Piracy or Griefing Under the Union Tag

  • We are an independent force — not a lawless one.

  • Members are prohibited from engaging in piracy, griefing, or behavior that brings dishonor to the Union name while tagged.

  • Rogue actions risk expulsion.

6. Respect Roleplay and Lore

  • We encourage RP and immersion — honor others’ playstyles.

  • In lore contexts, stay in-character when appropriate and help contribute to our shared story.

7. Confidentiality and Trust

  • Internal Union discussions, tactics, and strategy are not to be shared outside without approval.

  • Respect privacy and OPSEC protocols, especially around events, logistics, and future plans.

8. Resolve Issues Professionally

  • Got a problem with another member? Bring it up through proper channels.

  • Avoid public callouts. Use DM diplomacy or reach out to Union Council/Leadership if needed.

  • We’re here to build — not tear down.

9. Participation and Activity

  • Participation in events and missions is encouraged but never required. We understand that everyone has different availability and real-life obligations.

  • That said, if you know you’ll be away or out of communication for an extended period, please notify someone in leadership. We care about our members, and a quick message helps ensure no one is left wondering if something has happened to you in real life.

  • Our community thrives on mutual respect — keeping us in the loop helps keep the Union strong.

10. Fly with Honor

  • You’re a Freelancer — but you’re also part of a Union that has earned its respect across the stars.

  • Keep your word. Have your crew’s back. Take pride in your flight.

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in warnings, suspensions, or removal from the Union, depending on severity and context. Final decisions rest with the Union Council.

By joining the Spectral Freelancers Union, you agree to uphold this code and carry the banner with pride.
